The new Dovie CPT & HCPCS Reference Card, a handy, useful reference tool that helps vision care professionals and their staffs utilize CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) to code exams in order to be reimbursed by insurance companies at the most optimal level.
By coding exams at different levels, medical practitioners receive reimbursement by insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid. For example, a routine ‘pink eye’ check may be a Level 2 procedure whereas a full, dilated exam may be a Level 4 procedure. There are some grey areas in many doctors’ minds, and coding can often be quite complicated for them and their staff.
These cards are great for handing out to new practice employees!
