ELKINS PARK, PA – The two-sided Illuminated Eye Card from Gulden Ophthalmics is a new versatile, highly utilitarian patient examination tool. LED illumination makes the anti-yellowing eye cards bright, clear, and crisp. Its long-life 3.7 volt rechargeable lithium Ion battery power makes it very portable for use in the office or off site at another facility
With its bright illumination and two light level settings, the Eye Card can be used in an exam room, patient room, clinic, or virtually anywhere under normal ambient or darkened lighting. The unit holds two cards with letters on one side and numbers on the other side that are calibrated for use at 30 cm, making it handy for offices and health suites as well as the more confined spaces found, for example, in a patient’s hospital or nursing home room. Its two-sided design facilitates near vision screening with the same unit by simply flipping the unit over front-to-back. The bright, highly visible charts help enhance the accuracy of the eye test. The bright illumination is especially useful when examining the elderly and for low vision patients.
The rubberized black frame makes the unit ergonomically easy and pleasant to handle; the plastic screens and frame are simple to keep clean. The unit is provided with a 120V power supply/adapter that charges the long-life Li battery.
