Gulden Introduces a New, Highly Detailed Orbital Eye Model

Highly Detailed Orbital Eye ModelThe Gulden new eye orbit model – with 50 identified structures – aids patient understanding about the eye and its surrounding structures; is also a useful teaching aid for staff and students

ELKINS PARK, PA – Gulden Ophthalmics has added to its extensive line of educational eye models a new Orbital Eye Model is very useful in explaining and demonstrating to patients, eye components, musculature, vascularization, enervation, and the surrounding orbital structures. It is also an extremely good teaching aid for medical, optometry, ophthalmology, and nursing students as well as office professional and supporting staff members.

Gulden’s broad range of eye models details the structures in the eye and many conditions the eye care professional needs to explain to patients and staff. The new Orbital Eye Model extends the range of structures by presenting the muscles of the eye, the arteries, veins, nerves that supply the eye, the bone, nasal structures that comprise the eye orbit and surrounding features. The model exhibits highly defined details of structures such as the cornea, retina, iris, macula, lens, lacrimal sac, optic nerve, optic veins and arteries, the bones that comprise the eye orbit, and more. Each of the 50 identified structures is numbered on the model and corresponds to the identification of the item on the patient education card that accompanies the model for use with patients and or students.

The model opens to reveal internal eye structures and attachments; 10 components can be removed to show their location and function to aid patients’ understanding. The eye model is three-times (3x) life size, is constructed of durable, long life plastic, and is mounted on a sturdy, attractive, base.

Gulden also offers a comprehensive line of other eye models that aid patient and student understanding of the eye and its conditions.
